The intention of this course and the subsequent passport is to provide a benchmark for Basic Health & Safety which is universal across all industries.
All holders of the passport card are entered onto a central database and the card itself has many security features that prevent fraud, including a photograph of the successful candidate and their National Insurance number. There are also symbols on the card indicating that the core day (all industries) has been completed. There is also space on the card for additional symbols as courses are launched.
